SUNY Farmingdale State College, New York

Founded in 1912, Farmingdale State University's programs revolved around the technology of farming. As the school continued to develop over the years so too did the programs offered to students. By the 1930's and 40's the university began to widen its focus to the field of science and technology as well as maintaining an active program in agricultural sciences. Then by the 1950's the State University of New York stepped in and added Farmingdale to their list of facilities.
